Cabin Kits

FOR SALE:

You can own a piece of history!   Rustic, hand-notched log cabin kits are now available.  These kits are built using techniques from the 1800's.  Only one or two kits are produced each year.

These log cabin kits are built at The Museum of the American West (MAW) in Lander, Wyoming.

They are designed to be chinked when completed.

Full round logs that were killed by the western pine beetle are used.  They are skipped peeled with draw knives to give them a very unique look.

There are several design and construction choices for you to make. Corners can be beaver cut, squared or random cut.   Some sort of foundation and floor will have to be built.  Window and door locations, lofts, roof etc.

Re-Assembly on your site is easy.  Takes maybe 3-4 days at most.  If the cabin is small no special equipment is needed to lift the logs.
